This fountain has worked well for our cats. They enjoy playing with the stream of water that comes out. It is easy to clean and comes apart and is easy to reassemble. It makes no noise, unless it is getting low on water and then it will sputter a bit. The light helps when trying to see how low the level of water is in the fountain. The fountain is mainly stainless steel, however the pump and filter basket are plastic and are holding up well.
