Overview of Our Pet – Product Refund and Returns Policy
Our refund and returns policy for pet products on our independent site has a 30 – day window. If 30 days have elapsed since your purchase, unfortunately, we can no longer offer you a full refund or exchange.
Eligibility for Return
For a return to be eligible, the pet item must be unused and in the same condition as when you received it. It should also be in its original packaging. This ensures that the product can be resold or restocked without any issues, maintaining the high – quality standard we offer to all our customers.
Exemptions from Return
- Perishable Items: Similar to other perishable goods, perishable pet – related items such as certain types of fresh pet food, live plants for pets, or seasonal pet – themed floral arrangements cannot be returned. These items have a short shelf – life and might not be suitable for resale after being opened or used.
- Special – Use Items: We do not accept returns for intimate or sanitary pet products like pet diapers, certain types of grooming wipes, or products that come into direct contact with a pet’s sensitive areas. Also, any pet – related items classified as hazardous materials, such as some types of chemical – based pest control products for pets, or flammable liquids or gases (like certain types of pet – safe cleaners with volatile components) are non – returnable.
Additional Non – Returnable Items
- Gift Cards: Gift cards purchased on our site are non – returnable. Once a gift card is purchased and the code is delivered, it cannot be refunded or exchanged.
- Digital Products: Downloadable pet – training software, e – books about pet care, or any other digital products related to pets are non – returnable. Since these products can be easily copied or accessed, a return is not feasible.
- Some Health and Personal Care Items: Specific health and personal care items for pets, like custom – formulated pet medications, used dental treats, or opened tubes of pet ointments, are non – returnable due to health and safety reasons.
Completing Your Return
To complete your return, we require a receipt or some form of proof of purchase. This helps us verify your order details and process the return smoothly. Please do not send your purchased pet item back to the manufacturer directly. Instead, follow the instructions provided by our customer service team.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your returned pet item, we will send you an email to inform you that we have received it. In this email, we will also notify you whether your refund has been approved or rejected.
If your refund is approved, the refund process will commence. The credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or the original method of payment within [X] business days. The exact number of days may vary depending on your financial institution’s processing times.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received your refund yet, here are the steps to take:
- Check Your Account: First, double – check your bank account to ensure the refund hasn’t been deposited unnoticed.

Sale Items
Only regular – priced pet items are eligible for refunds. Sale – priced pet products, including those on clearance or special promotion, cannot be refunded. This is because these items are already offered at a discounted price, and refunding them may disrupt our pricing and inventory management.
Exchanges
We only replace pet items if they are defective or damaged upon receipt. If you need to exchange a defective or damaged item for the same one, send us an email at support@doggiecat.com.
Gifts
- Gifts Marked as Such: If the pet item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once we receive the returned item, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. This allows you to choose another pet – related gift or item for yourself or someone else in the future.
- Gifts Not Marked as Such: If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift – giver had the order shipped to themselves first to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift – giver. They will then be informed about your return.
Shipping for Returns
To return your pet product, you should arrange the shipping.
You will be responsible for covering the shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non – refundable. If you are eligible for a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund amount.
The time it takes for your exchanged product to reach you may vary depending on your location. For more expensive pet items, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item, so taking these precautions can help protect your interests.
